Samuel Toro Pérez is an Austrian-Colombian guitarist and performer based in Vienna.

As a chamber musician Samuel regularly performs nationally and internationally with ensembles such as Klangforum Wien, Phace and the Black Page Orchestra, playing both classical and electric guitar and featuring appearances at Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, Library of Congress Washington,  Konzerthaus Vienna, Biennale Musica Venice, Donaueschinger Musiktage, Darmstadt Summer Course for New Music, Wien Modern and Time of Music Festival Viitasaari.

In the context of his solo projects he closely collaborates with composers such as Elena Rykova, Marina Rosenfeld, Alexander Kaiser and Jorge Sánchez-Chiong.

A further focus besides contemporary music consists in projects with artists from different backgrounds such as theatre, dance and video, for example as a member of the Viennese trans-disciplinary collective andother stage («Land of the Flats», «trans.litter.rate» / both Vienna), with the theatre director Maximilian Hanisch («The Lobster» / Zurich and «The Conversation» / Basel) and with the dancer Constance Diard («In softly insistent motion» / Zurich).

Samuel holds a lectureship in contemporary guitar and chamber music at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna since 2020.
